The International Association of People Affected by Lipodystrophies and Their Relatives (AELIP) has signed a collaboration agreement withthe coordinator of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation at FC Barcelona to increase the support provided to people affected by lipodystrophy and their families through the promotion of activities and actions aimed atimproving the quality of life of this community of people.
In accordance with the agreement, the coordinator of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation at FC Barcelona promises to give €5,000 of financial supportto AELIP’s international cooperation project,“Public Health Intervention for Professionals, Families, and People Affected by Lipodystrophy in Piura (Peru)”, and to carry out further actions that are mutually agreed upon by both parties.
In turn, AELIP promises to participate in and contribute to the promotion of any activities organised by the coordinator of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation at FC Barcelona about rare illnesses; to develop, within its scope, activities that have an impact on the promotion of and improvement of the health of people with lipodystrophy; and to cooperate, to whatever extent possible, with the requests that may be made by the coordinator of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation at FC Barcelona,based on the needs that arise in connection with the community of people with lipodystrophy.
In addition, AELIP will make the AELIP centre and its delegations available for outreach services regarding lipodystrophy; it will make its team of professionals and the direction of any projects of mutual interest available; and it will includethe logo of the coordinator of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation at FC Barcelona on the AELIP website as a “protector member” (i.e. sponsor).
The agreement will be valid until 30 June 2019, and it could be extended with the express agreement of both parties through subsequent calendar years.
