Association of Families and People Affected by Lipodystrophy Representative for
Portugal, María Fernanda de Amorim, was interviewed by Mihn Digital, a weekly
publication by Alto Miño.
In
it, María Fernanda tells readers how her family is affected by her daughter's
struggle with lipodystrophy.
She
also speaks about AELIP and the support that she receives, as well as what it
meant her and her family to be in contact with expert in lipodystrophies Dr
David Araújo, and with the Centre for Research in Molecular Medicine and
Chronic Diseases (CiMUS) in Santiago de Compostela. What’s more, she tells how
the quality of life of her daughter, Sofía, has improved thanks to the
treatment that she is receiving for recombinant human leptin.
