Professor Martin wabitsch joins the AELIP expert committee as a member.
Martin Wabitsch MD, PhD is Professor of Pediatrics, Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Pediatric Endocrinology of Diabetes at the Children's Hospital of the University of Ulm (Germany).

Wabitsch is president of the Center for Rare Endocrine Diseases at the University of Ulm. His experimental research focuses on the biology of the human adipocyte.
His research group has established in vitro models for the study of biology including the human strain of SGBS cells.
Martin's clinical research focuses on childhood, obesity, physiology of body weight regulation, leptin
and rare lipodystrophy syndromes.
The professor is also a member of the ECLIP board of directors and of the European Lipodystrophy Registry.
