The International Association of Families and People Affected by Lipodystrophies (AELIP) will participate as an associate member in the annual meeting of the Global Network for Rare Diseases (GND) on May 18th and 19th.
The IDR Annual Meeting is a unique forum for patient advocates and other stakeholders to learn about the latest actions that put rare diseases on the global health agenda and understand how they too can participate.
In order to protect the health and safety of all stakeholders and support efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, the 6th IDR meeting, previously planned to take place in Geneva in May, will be held entirely online.
This event will bring together rare disease patient organisations from Latin America, North America, Europe, Asia and Africa to learn from each other and bring the voice of patients from their disease areas, countries and regions.
Two events make up the programme of the 6th Annual Meeting of the IADN: the General Assembly and the Membership Meeting, open only to IADN Members, will take place on 18 May 2020, and on 19 May 2020, the IADN Global Meeting is open to anyone interested in the international rare disease movement.
