AELIP will conduct a training webinar on Lipodystrophies for health professionals and students in Peru

The International Association of Relatives and Affected of Lipodystrophies AELIP, will carry out next June 25th a formative webinar in Lipodystrophies for health professionals and Students of Peru. 

This training action will have the participation of Dr. David Araujo-Vilar, Professor of Endocrinology and Medical Genetics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. President of the Governing Board of the European Consortium of Lipodystrophies-ECLIP). Dr. Carlos del Aguila Villar Service of Endocrinology and Metabolism National Institute of Children's Health - Breña Lima, Peru) and Dr. Nelson D. Purizaca Rosillo Medical Geneticist Institute of Genomic Research, Igenomica Lima, Peru)

The webinar will also have a social part in which AELIP will present the services and resources it provides to improve the quality of life of people and families living with a lipodystrophy in the world and will do so through a presentation on social health resources for the care of people and families with lipodystrophies "and will be given by José Jerez Ruiz, Social worker of AELIP, responsible for the Service of Information and Orientation in Lipodystrophies -SIOLIP, Juan Carrión Tudela, vice-president and director of AELIP. President of the Ibero-American Alliance of Rare Diseases ALIBER and Mariela López Correa, delegate of AELIP in Peru)

The conference will have the collaboration and support for its development from the Sociedad Cientefica de estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Piura (SOCIEMUNP) Confederación Mundial de Peñas del FC Barcelona, the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Alicante, the European Consortium of Lipodystrophies, the Alianza Iberoamericana de Enfermedades Raras (ALIBER) and the Sociedad Española de Lipodistrofias (SEL). It will also be supported and sponsored by Amryt, Biomarín and Akcea Therapeutics .
