A new training webinar in Lipodystrophies will welcome health professionals and students from Argentina

The International Association of Relatives and Affected of Lipodystrophies AELIP, will carry out next July 30th a web conference in formative matter in Lipodystrophies, programmed at 16.00 h, Argentinean time.

Once again, Dr. David Araujo-Vilar, Professor of Medical Endocrinology and Genetics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and President of the Governing Board of the European Consortium of Lipodystrophies (ECLIP), will participate in the event. Also present will be Dr. Maria Eugenia Andrés, Pediatrician Specialist in Child Nutrition, Professor of Medicine, Staff Physician at the Nutrition and Diabetes Service of the Pedro de Elizalde Children's Hospital and Dr. Laura Major, Pediatrician Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition, Coordinator of Nutrition and Child Diabetes at the San Isidro Municipal Maternal Hospital "Dr. Carlos Gianantonio".

The social area will come, once again, from the hand of AELIP that will present the services and social-health resources it provides to improve the quality of life of individuals and families living with a lipodystrophy in the world. José Jerez Ruiz, Social Worker of AELIP, responsible for the Information and Orientation Service in Lipodistrophy -SIOLIP, and Juan Carrión Tudela, Vice-president and Director of AELIP will intervene. President of the Ibero-American Alliance of Rare Diseases ALIBER and the AELIP's delegate in Argentina, Silvina Andrea Claverie.

The conference will be supported by the Alliance of Rare Disease Patient Organisations in Europe (EURORDIS), the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), the FAVALORO Foundation for Medical Research and Teaching, the European Consortium for Lipodystrophies, the Ibero-American Alliance for Rare Diseases (ALIBER) and the Spanish Society for Lipodystrophies (SEL). It will also be supported and sponsored by Amryt, Biomarin and Akcea Therapeutics
