The Argentine delegate of the International Association of People Affected by Lipodystrophies and Their Relatives (AELIP), Patricia Karina, submitted to Doctor Carla Musso a copy of the Practical Guide for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Rare Lipodystrophies.
Doctor Musso, who forms part of AELIP’s Committee of Experts, specialises in endocrinology and diabetes and received the guide in Buenos Aires.
The delegate of AELIP has passed on a copy of this guide in Spanish, a tool that she hopes to be of help to endocrinologists, paediatricians, and other specialists and primary care physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of this group of rare diseases known as lipodystrophies.
The guide is the result of the work of the Lipodystrophies Unit of the Endocrinology and Nutrition Services of Santiago de Compostela, which has been working in this field for over fifteen years.
