LIPO-DDx® is a mobile application based on a personal algorithm developed by Prof. David Araújo-Vilar. With the support of the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Galician Health Service (SERGAS) and AELIP (International Association of Families and People with Lipodystrophy).
LIPO-DDx® is not a diagnostic tool. LIPO-DDDx® is a free application to help doctors better characterise the different subtypes of lipodystrophy. HIV-associated lipodystrophy is beyond the scope of this application. LIPO-DDx® will never replace the clinical judgment of a physician with expertise in the field of lipodystrophies.
During the upcoming 63rd Congress of the Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition to be held in Las Palmas this October, an information leaflet with a QR code will be distributed to attendees to facilitate downloading to mobile phones.
